It's a.....

Weighing in at a whopping 13 oz at 20 weeks and 3 days.  Everything looked good at the ultrasound.  I thought I would be able to tell if it was a boy but I was having trouble figuring out the angle we were looking at.  But the tech assured us it was indeed a boy - we even have a photo of the "butt shot".  Heartbeat was at 137 so even lower than a few weeks ago.

We ended up having about 30 minutes between our ultrasound and our OB appointment which gave us time to call and text our family and friends.  After our appointments, I went shopping with my friend Kiersten and finally allowed myself to start dreaming about getting stuff for my baby boy!

I got a couple things on sale at Gymboree that were too cute to pass up - an orange zip up sweatshirt and a matching onsie - they have a fish theme.  I also got a onesie that says "I love my mommy".  Its a 0-3 months and so tiny - makes me so excited to hold my little guy.

We also went to Janie and Jack which is a dangerous store - there are so many cute things there and they are very expensive.  My favorite was this shirt:
Its an orange plaid shirt - they also have a matching hat and an orange zip sweatshirt that would be so adorable with a little pair of jeans.
My child will likely have a lot of orange and maroon in his wardrobe.  My husband wears maroon and/or orange 90% of the time.  However, Andrew's wardrobe is jeans and t-shirts.  I've tried to get him to add a plaid shirt like the one above (in a men's size obviously) but he has resisted.  He claims that if I got him something he would wear it but he's a lot pickier than he lets on.  So now I get my own little man to dress who can't complain about it for a good year or two.  Yay!
Of course we will need to get him a Virginia Tech football jersey and several VT t-shirts so he can match his daddy too.
Lots to get done in the next 20 weeks!  I need to start planning the nursery, getting furniture and planning baby showers.  We've decided on a couple of other projects that need to get done around the house - tearing out the shelves in our pantry to build a more efficient storage system as well as getting a moveable kitchen island for additional storage and counter space.  A trip to IKEA is in our future....

Happy Monday everyone!
