Walker 4 month update

I know, I know.  All I've been posting is monthly updates on the newest little.  Life with 2 kids is busy busy busy.  I get about 30 minutes of time to myself on average and honestly I'd rather spend it drinking coffee and watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix than dragging the computer out.  Sorry.  But I'm hoping to get into a routine of spending some time each weekend at a coffee shop to focus on some blog posts and get this thing up and running a little more consistently.  Here's to hoping right?

Unfortunately for me in all this busyness, Walker is still aging and growing.  He is now 4 months old!  What?!?!  He's such a great baby and his smile can melt anyone's heart.

Size
At his 4 month check, Walker weighed in at 14 lbs 14oz (50th percentile) and 25.5 in long (75th percentile) and his head is measuring in the 25th percentile.  He's about a pound lighter and half an inch shorter than Sawyer was at his age.  We've moved up to 6 month clothes and are in size 2 diapers.  He grows like Sawyer - he'll get a chunky little tummy and then get longer all of a sudden and his tummy goes away.

Developmental Milestones
Walker's giggles are so much fun!  He's definitely learning to grab things with more accuracy and has discovered his toes.  He can roll tummy to back pretty consistently but doesn't roll the other way yet.  He wants so badly to sit up and does well in the Bumbo seat but obviously can't sit on his own yet without being propped up by the Boppy.  He'll babble a little at times but for the most part is very alert and wants to be in the center of the action.  He also loves to stick out his tongue.

Eating
Walker is a boob man.  He is a rockstar breast feeder and eats multiple times during the day.  He's hit and miss when it comes to the bottle.  Our nanny claims that he won't eat a bottle from her arms - she has to prop him up in the swing with his bottle.  He will take a bottle being held by Andrew though.  There have been some days where he will eat a ton on the days I work and I worry about pumping enough to keep up with him.

Sleeping
Walker has still been a pretty good sleeper - he usually only wakes once to eat (if at all).  This past week has been a little rougher because he got a cold but all in all I can't complain.  He needs to teach his brother how to sleep better.

Likes and Dislikes
Walker likes his Wubby, his brother, mommy and daddy and being snuggled in his blanket.  He loves to get his diaper changed and is almost always happy on his changing table - maybe its the getting naked.  He likes bathtime too especially if he gets to take a bath with his brother.   He is not a fan of being left by himself or having to wait to eat.

We are getting into a nice rhythm as a family and Walker is so chill and fun to have around.  Its fun to watch him learn and grow with such a big smile on his face.  You can't not love this kid.
